The Hernando Beach Yacht Club is located in Hernando Beach, FL, on the Gulf coast and about 50 miles north of Tampa. The club offers events throughout the year for sailors and power boaters, as well as many social events and excursions for non-boaters. Non-boat owners are invited to participate in all events. The newly dredged Hernando county channel has a controlling depth of 6 ft, and 60 ft minimum width. The new channel provides for direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, and was completed in 2012. As a Yacht Club, members have reciprocal privileges at other yacht clubs in Florida, and is also a member of the Yachting Club of America . The club supports a wide range of activities, including:

The Club appoints a Membership Committee each year to meet with prospective members and provide them with information about the club.
