Memorial Day Weekend; the Cruise-to-Nowhere on Father’s Day weekend; The Fireworks Fiesta at Branford, CT at the end of June; and Labor Day Weekend, and many more informal cruises.

 v    The Memorial Day cruise traditionally lands at a neighboring yacht club for a Saturday bar-b-que and dinner at a restaurant on Sunday.  

v    Our Cruise-to-Nowhere, SYC’s own celebration of Port Jefferson harbor's charms, has us sailing our local waters on Saturday with a rendezvous in the harbor in the afternoon. We anchor or moor and go to Whitehall Beach for a Bar-B-Que. We overnight in the harbor and either sail again on Sunday, or head home for Father's Day activities.  

v    The Fireworks Fiesta in late June sends us to Branford Yacht Club for a Bar-B-Que followed by the Town's great fireworks display. 

v    We again plan to end the official cruising season on Labor Day weekend with good sailing (we hope) to a local harbor, good eating, and a lot of conversation and relaxation.  

v    Your Cruise Chairpersons plan to cruise to the Vineyard during the month of July and we expect to meet or pass many SYC boats sailing on vacation cruises. If there is any interest, we will try to coordinate meetings or rendezvous locations during the summer season.
