Shennecossett Yacht Club is located on picturesque Pine Island Bay in Groton, Connecticut just minutes from Long Island Sound. Pine Island Bay is sheltered from all directions. There are no bridges or wakes from the Thames River.

Shennecossett Yacht Club has 5 docks with a total of 191 slips, 35 member moorings, 2 transient moorings, and a dock house with showers. We also offer gas, diesel and ice. SYC is close to public transportation, shopping, laundry facilities, and a variety of restaurants.
 
Points of interest include: The Avery Point Light, Historic Ship Nautilus (SSN 571), National Undersea Research Center (University of Connecticut at Avery Point), Bushy Point State Park, Mystic Seaport - the Museum of America and the Sea, Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration, and the Garde Arts Center.
